I awoke to these words ringing in my spirit this morning and throughout the night. As I went throughout the day I kept reminding myself to blog although it has been ages since I last wrote an entry. I washed windows and had an episode of Elijah Fire running in the background. I highly recommend this ministry to all who are drawn to the prophetic. A prophet named Andrew Whalen was being interviewed and he mentioned a dream he had about seeing a book title: The spoils of war. Holy Spirit told him that this was the grace on his life…to teach and equip the Body of Christ to appropriate what was won for us on the Cross by Jesus….I then had an aha moment about my dream. Could it be that Holy Spirit was telling me that I had the grace to share with people the honour of people being made in the image and the likeness of our Creator, God?

In Genesis 1:27 in the Amplified Bible it states this: So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them.

If we ponder the characteristics of our loving Heavenly Father, what does it mean to be made in his image and likeness? I keep thinking of a famous quote: With great power comes great responsibility. How does this apply to the image bearers of God? What power and responsibilities are ours? I invite you to sit with this Biblical truth and its implications. Since this is so fresh in my spirit I will have to do it as well…With the guidance of God’s Holy Spirit, whom the Bible also calls the Spirit of Truth and our ever-present Helper, I need time to appropriate this precious promise whom Peter says in ” Peter 1:4 allows us to partake in Christ’s divine nature.

We are divine image bearers of the God of Heaven and Earth. Let that sink deep into your spirit and ask the Lord how to steward this amazing responsibility.
