All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realise what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. (2 Timothy 3:16)

How was your day? How was mine? The oppression of collective challenges we face weighed heavy today. Personally there was a child vomiting, a mother (me) questioning…mask mandates for wee ones, 1 and 1 not adding up to 2 in so many situations…So what do we do when the world does not make sense? I wrestle and then I flee into the arms of my beloved Daddy, the only one I could ever call Daddy because my earthly Daddy died when I was one. Amongst the Bible verses that soothed my restless soul today comes from (Isaiah 25: 4) But you(God), are a tower of refuge to the poor, O Lord, a tower of refuge to the needy in distress. You are a refuge from the storm and a shelter from the heat.

I am not a bible scholar, I am someone who sincerely sought the Lord and He made himself known to me in the most amazing ways….literally saving my life in some instances. He and I have a history. A history that is imprinted on every fibre of my being. So when I choose to flee into His arms it is because I TRUST Him. I cannot control the world but my times are in His hands (Psalm 31:15). I have to submit control to Him so that I can breathe again and continue running my race. One of my favourite singers is Christy Nockels. Some of her lyrics come to mind: Wondering where you are Lord, asking where you’ve been, is like standing in a hurricane, trying to catch the wind.

Are you wrestling today? Or are you wondering? Will you submit to Him? Trust Him…He is the way and the truth and the life. (John 14:16)

Till next time 🙂

Redemption!

I love the word redemption. One of its definitions is the action of saving or being saved from sin, error or evil. The world is full of these wonderful stories where good prevails, the underdog wins, where beauty comes from ashes. My verse for today comes from (Isaiah 61:3-7). God will bestow on you a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.

I chose this blog name because I have experienced the truth of this bible verse countless times in the major and minor areas of my life. God’s redemption song over my life started before conception. We all have our stories…I was orphaned, grew up in poverty, suffered abuse, racism and countless hardships. These afflictions were never ever of God’s making, but He redeemed it all! Thank you Abba Father! My heart is for everyone who encounter my words to believe in the redemption story God is waiting to write or has already written for each and every one of us. The bible is a living, breathing book filled with advice and strategies for every situation we will ever experience. We meet the Living God in the content of its pages. However, we have to take the time to partake of its supernatural wonder..by reading it for ourselves, or listening to it . While sermons are edifying, it is our own seeking of God’s truth that brings revelation. All else is just information. I encourage you today, read from God’s word today with the heart motive in search of truth. I pray that God’s Holy Spirit will open up the eyes of your understanding. I pray all blinkers and falsities be removed. I pray that you find what you seek…but you have to seek first His Kingdom. Next time I will share some of the ways I have applied the living Word of God and experienced victory. Till soon 🙂

…to make her holy and clean…washed by the cleansing of God’s WORD. (Ephesians 5:26 NLT)

Welcome to my little corner of the digital world. My name is Chantal Kuenzler. I am originally from South Africa, from a mixed-race heritage. I now live in Switzerland with my Swiss husband and our three children. Starting this blog is an act of obedience to my Heavenly Father. By nature, I am a wallflower, an introvert. This blog is me stepping out of my comfort zone in the hopes to encourage others biblically in this journey of life.

What comes to your mind when you read this bible verse? I heard a pastor once say that the Word of God is so powerful that it conveys every meaning possible. I need to be cleansed daily…daily I deal with the challenges of life amid the backdrop of covid. It is hard and messy and I have constant onlookers watching, learning how to navigate the ups and downs. It is God’s Word that sustains me. I am immeasurably grateful because I am truly washed clean when I partake in the wonder of His life-giving Word.
